Judy Baily

As one of Australia’s finest and versatile jazz pianists, Judy has worked with every major Australian jazz musician over the past three decades.

Her diverse career includes performing, composing, arranging, teaching, recording and touring. As a composer her best works are already a jazz legacy. 

In addition, she is a Lecturer in Jazz Studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and a Musical Director of the youthful big band Jazz Connections.

She has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her services to jazz music and education and received an award for Distinguished Services to Australian Music at the 2008 Classical Music Awards.

Craig Scott

Craig Scott has been one of Australia's leading bassists for nearly 30 years. He has been a member of many jazz groups led by such well-known jazz identities as Don Burrows, James Morrison, Paul MacNamara, Steve McKenna, Steve Brien, Judy Bailey, Roger Frampton, Gordon Brisker, and many others. His own quintet has performed at many of Australia’s major jazz festivals including Manly, Darling Harbour and Wangaratta. Craig has also accompanied a plethora of visiting international jazz artists, including Joe Henderson, Red Rodney, Eddie Daniels, Bobby Shew, Clifford Jordan, Lee Konitz, Ronnie Scott, Frank Morgan, George Cables, Mark Levine, and Jim McNeely. Craig is also Chair of the Jazz Studies Unit at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and coordinator of the Master of Music (Jazz) degree programme.  He frequently gives master classes at other tertiary institutions around Australia and New Zealand. In July 2002 he was invited to be a guest lecturer at Berklee Music School in Boston, U.S.A for the IASJ (International Association of Schools of Jazz.)
